What Kind of Bacteria is on Toilet Seats?

Awareness of people towards germs has restricted them from using public facilities- peculiarly while using toilet seat. Bacteria shack on toilet seats, but the risks of being getting infected from a toilet seat are comparatively lesser than one can think off. Bacteria that are found on toilet seat are streptococcus, staphylococcus, pseudomonas, e-coli, and Salmonella.

According to the research by center for Disease Control and prevention, strain A (streptococcus) are found in the skin and throat. It can engender impetigo, a common skin disease and strep throat that chiefly impacts children and also blood poisoning.

Bacterial strain of staphylococcus is known to be the causative agent of skin diseases, sickness leading to discomfort. Cellulites, impetigo and boils are common. Pseudomonas also causes skin disorder.

E-coli are abundant in stool and most hazardous bacteria, found beneath the toilet seat. These bacteria are inhaled when water sprays out (as present in water) during flushing the toilet. As compared to the other bacteria which are found on toilet seat surface, E-coli pose a greater endangerment. E-coli can induce food poisoning evidence and even it can lead to death.
Salmonella is a causative agent of airborne disease, as it was isolated from air sample just after flushing the toilet. Maintaining proper hygiene is the best solution to remain disease free.
