How to Identify the Symptoms of Liver Disease

Liver plays a vital role in various functions and processes like reproduction, immunization, growth and nutrition in our body making it one of the most important body organs. It is very important to recognize symptoms of a liver disease, at the right time.

Following are the symptoms which point to liver disease-
  • Skin discoloration: Yellowish texture of skin, eyes and urine is the first sign of Jaundice, one of the most common liver diseases.
  • Weight loss: Weight loss due to loss in appetite indicates liver disease and may lead to anemia.
  • Stool Color: Stool with light color is also one of the symptoms of liver disease.
  • Pain while breathing: This basically happens due to swelling at the right side beneath the ribs putting pressure on the diaphragm.
  • Nail Color: Whitish colored nails also points towards liver disease.
  • Bleeding Nose: Frequent bleeding of knows depicts protein deficiency and liver disorder.
  • Frequent Urination: Frequent urination followed by excessive thirst also points to liver problem.
  • Other symptoms: Dizziness, Irritation, headaches and Spasms.
     
Precautions to avoid liver diseases:
  • Always wash hands after using wash rooms with alcohol based liquids or liquid soaps
  • Drink purified or boiled water
  • Avoid alcohol, which reduces immunity against diseases
  • Avoid eating junk food
